“Whether or not you believe that yoga can transform your life, it will happen. All you have to do is make room in your life for some time on the mat. I think of yoga as a moving meditation, a dance of strength and grace that unexpectedly brings the mind in tune with the heart.” - Suzanna

suzanna pic1Suzanna brings an open heart to her classes and sense of exploration. Her Flow classes are lyrical in sequencing and instruction. She brings knowledge of alignment as well as the beauty and flow of challenging vinyasa to all of her classes. Suzanna teaches physical strength, personal power and flexibility in this “moving meditation.” Marrying breath and asana, students will develop a sense of the body as fluid, intelligent and ultimately, divine—the essence of Tantra yoga. Suzanna teaches in a moderately heated classroom, about 77-78 degrees. Her music is a great mix of modern rock, alternative/indie, chant, and African/Indian world music.

Suzanna recently relocated to Livermore and has practiced both Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga. As a staff songwriter for EMI Music and Bluewater Music Publishing in Nashville, Suzanna kept her sanity by studying yoga with Iyengar instructors Jan Campbell and Cora Wen, with suzanna pic2instructor Rodney Yee, and with Ashtanga instructor Laura Parker-Hawes. In addition to her Iyengar teacher training coursework, Suzanna has completed Prana Vinyasa™ immersion teacher training and currently studies with instructor Shiva Rea. Suzanna is registered with Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT).

Suzanna's wonderful Yin and Restorative classes are informed by her studies with teachers Sarah Powers and Judith Hanson Lasater. In addition to Suzanna's dedicated yoga practice and teaching, her songwriting recently earned a radio single with country artist Doug Stone.

Suzanna is a renaissance woman. She even created the Cosmic Dog logo! An avid SCUBA diver, Suzanna is a believer in the fluid body and our innate ability to heal injuries. Her popular Yin and Restorative yoga workshops offer deep relaxation, and self-awareness as a doorway to transformation.
